How do you properly store leather?

I live in Arizona, so the summers are hot and dry and the winters are dry too. I have a nice leather purse, and would like to know what is a good way to store it when it’s not in use. Anyone know?

    use some “mink oil” on it, follow the directions, then store it just like any other purse. On a shelf in the closet is fine.

    I put a protective cover over my leather bags (a clean cotton pillow case is fine and store them in your closet neatly). Make sure to stuff your bag with tissue paper so that the bag retains its shape while in storage. That’s it.
