How do you mend a leather jacket that has been ripped?

JC asked:

I accidentally ripped my boyfriend’s leather jacket and now there’s a huge gash in it. The rip is about two inches long but it’s slender– as if it was cut by a knife. How should I go about fixing it– aside from buying a new jacket. :-/

get a very strong needle, sew it like you would as if you had torn your jeans,or like the doctor would if you cut your leg… you can make the stich almost invisible if your carerefull… then do the entire jacket with mink oil…just rub it on, jacket gets soft and looks brand new

use a very small amount of krazy glue if possible on the inner side of the letter

When this happened to mine i took it to a tailor and they fixed it. it cost about 10.00 and was barely noticable.
